At the Indianapolis Recorder, I used the BLOX Content Management System to upload our stories to our website each week and Hootsuite to distribute our content to various social media channels.
I am currently the part-time director of social media for tech startup Iyanu (iyanu.io). I launched our social media accounts less than a month ago, but have already seen growth. I use Hootsuite to schedule posts weekly, and throughout the week I engage with followers and interact with accounts that use similar hashtags.

I launched our Twitter account less than a month ago and have been able to gain unique followers without any type of paid promotions. As of October 31, 73 people have viewed our page in the last 7 days.
To make our accounts visually appealing, I created a number of graphics for our social media accounts.
On my personal news blog, HeartbeatIndy.wordpress.com, I use WordPress to track engagement and growth. In my first month, I had over 700 views.
